Have you dreamt about climbing a Mount Everest ever? If it is in your wishlist then here’s a chance to fulfill that wish. You need not go out of the country or even out of the city. Mount Everest has come to you. Climb 850 steps of the 30 stores World Trade Centre (WTC) in Rajajinagar 70 times and it is as good as climbing the Everest once.
Every year in the month of August, Bengalureans will come together for the vertical Marathon, a fitness event hosted by WTC and as a part of the event, the participants will run 2.5 kms around Brigade Gateway campus which includes the WTC building Orion Mall, Sheraton Hotel Campus which is followed by the climb of 850 stairs to reach the top of the building.
The event has a category called the ‘Everest Challenge’ where participants in group of 5 have to climb the steps 70 times. At every third floor there will be medical help and this year so far 840 people have registered for the marathon and 10 teams for the challenge.
