It was all started in the month of November 2014 when few of us met in a 1 bhk house of Pramod and Rajath for a discussion. There was a thought, an idea to do something new in the e-commerce space. There was everything and online sector had touched all the sectors from shopping, cabs, movie tickets, recharge, food to grocery and furniture, however, the service sector was unorganized in a way that people were there in the age of classifieds and yellow pages. A person who books a cab at the click of a button had to struggle a lot to get a plumber to his home. The feeling got stronger when we ourselves faced that challenge.
Pramod was working in a finance firm and Rajath was an engineer. An urge to start on own was there but this way happened like a fantasy which we were not thought of. We started talking to our relatives, neighbors and service providers around us. In the process, we realized that there was a bigger problem to solve and the only way to it was technology.
A decision was made that we are going to create something in the service sector. The way before we thought to code something, we started socializing with people. Pramod was keen on brand name and technology while Rajath and team focused on building a marketplace of trusted service professionals. We started with DesiSeva.com and then renamed it as Bro4u.com, meaning a BRO, a friend who is there to help you with your home services.

Akshay, our tech master drafted the first version of the website and on Feb 25th, 2015, we launched our website with a social reach of 3,19,328. We got massive likes on our FB pages with more than 350 organic signups on the first day of launch. We were the first one to build a review based technology model that could suffice the need of a customer who is in search of a plumber or a carpenter to it’s fullest.

In the last two years, we have taken steps to become one of the most loved apps with 50+ services and 500+ service professionals in Bengaluru. We have recently moved to Hyderabad and aim to expand to more cities in the coming days. We are lucky and fortunate to have our lovely investors on board and a team of vibrant 60 people.
